The story behind the name – Dhruvees
Have you ever noticed that bright, brilliant tinkling star in the sky? It is always close to the moon and you can easily spot it on a clear night. It is the North Star. It is named so because it lies directly overhead when viewed from many parts of the planet.
This star has great significance in Japanese, Greek, Hawaiian and Indian culture. In Indian mythology, the pole star is called Dhruva and is based on the legend of a little prince behind it.

One of Donald’s key strengths is his ability to lead culturally diverse teams across various countries, bringing to the fore, novel hospitality concepts.

Darryn is an award-winning chef from New Zealand with more than 35 years international food & beverage experience in developing culinary and interior design concepts along with master planning kitchens and operations for hotels & restaurants: Big & Small.

Nicole has a background with brands such as Starwood, Marriott, Jumeirah and Cinnamon Hotels in Korea, Australia, China and Sri Lanka
Born and raised in the highlands of Kandy, Indika started his career at the young age of 19. After following a culinary course at the Ceylon Hotel School, Indika started as a trainee at the Mahaweli Reach Hotel. Since then, Indika’s career has taken him all over the world of luxury hospitality, having worked in his home country of Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Brunei and Seychelles.
An Ottawa native, for over 25 years Eric has specialized in accounting, tax advice and management consulting to businesses in Canada and outside Canada.
